ILA Carlsbad Campus
Independent Learning Academy (ILA) Carlsbad Campus is a ministry to the Carlsbad, Oceanside, and North San Diego County area homeschooling community. ILA helps to equip students with skills, knowledge, and opportunities that will prepare them for success and independence as young adults.

Registration fee for ILA Carlsbad is $145 per family plus $10 per student which gives families access to take one or more classes offered through our team of ILA teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. Cost of classes can be viewed once a teacher ‘s name is clicked on under the Monday or Thursday schedule in the blue box to the right. There is no cost for students to attend study hall or lunch. If an ILA teacher is not teaching a faith-based class, charter funds can be used to pay for that class. Please contact ILA teachers directly to find out if they are a vendor of your charter school, and if they are not, please ask them if you can contact your charter to add them as a vendor. If an ILA teacher is teaching a faith-based class, charter funds cannot be used to pay for that class. Also, parents who are coming on campus are required to purchase an ID badge. The cost is under $10.
Teresa Baker, ILA Carlsbad Director, is going on her 11th year of home-schooling her four children. She and Brian have been married for 18 years and both of them surrendered their life to Jesus Christ on September 28, 2007. Teresa has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State Fullerton. After Teresa first got saved, she taught the Bible at a Christian Montessori school as well as served in children’s and mother’s ministries at her church. She also taught a Good News Club in Orange County in conjunction with serving with Lesley Russell in 2014-2015 as Lead Monitoring Coordinator of ILA Aliso Viejo. Teresa and her family moved to Oceanside in 2015 after six years of seeking God’s will for their family. After prayer and a time of waiting on the Lord, ILA Oceanside opened up for the 2015-2016 school year with Teresa as the director. After more prayer and seeking the Lord, ILA Carlsbad was birthed replacing ILA Oceanside. Teresa is thankful to God that she can home-school her children with full support from her husband. She loves the connection with other home-schooling families and that the ILA community is a huge part of her family’s home-schooling days.
